Welcome to the Roof Medics Blog

Breianna Dahl • Oct 01, 2020

If you are reading these words then welcome to the Roof Medics Blog.

Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Breianna and I am a recent college graduate and the marketing manager for Roof Medics. I went to St. Cloud State University where I double-majored in English and Communication Studies. During my time at college, I was able to study abroad in England, work as a Resident Advisor in the dorm buildings, and dreamed about becoming a librarian post-college. In a nutshell, I know almost nothing about the roofing industry. In fact, I probably know less than I should considering my father is a roofer, my grandfather was a roofer, and my great grandfather was a roofer. I didn’t see myself becoming a marketing manager for a roofing company post-college but this is 2020 and if I’ve learned anything this year it’s that anything is possible. Besides writing this blog I manage Roof Medics' social media accounts on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube, keep our website up to date, film, and edit videos, and most recently I’ve been working on becoming a drone pilot. It’s a lot of hats to wear but I love every moment.

Now, you might be asking yourself “why am I reading a blog written by a recent college graduate who frankly isn’t the most knowledgeable about the roofing industry?”

I think that is a wonderful question.

I will answer your question by asking you a question. Do you understand the roofing industry? My guess is that unless you have worked in or with the roofing industry the answer is no. The hope I have for this blog is that it will serve to explain what Roof Medics is all about in the easiest ways possible. Beyond that, I hope to bring light to why taking care of your roof is so important.

A little history on Roof Medics. Roof Medics was started in 2017 when the owner Troy Ribble wanted to find a way to help business owners extend the life of their existing roofs. It was then that Roof Medics was born. Roof Medics doesn’t focus on replacing roofs, in fact, Roof Medics has never replaced a roof. Instead, we focus on repairing and restoring roofs. This brings me to mention that Roof Medics specializes specifically in commercial roofing. While our methods are effective on residential roofs, they are best suited for commercial roofs. Businesses with flat roofs, metal roofs, PVC roofs, and EDM roofs are Roof Medics bread and butter.
